I follow your facebook page and have noticed over the past few weeks some pieces you have done for clients that are personalized pieces of their beloved dogs. Can you provide some information for me about the process for something like this.
Hi Meagan, Thank you for writing, I am happy to hear from you! And I am especially excited that you are thinking of having me paint a special animal friend. Is it a dog that you would like a portrait of? I love to do paintings inspired by much loved horses, dogs and cats… with these I rely a LOT on the “stories” that I am told about the animal friend to help me get a feeling for their character and spirit. It is the same price for me to paint your pet as it would be for a gallery painting of the same size. I usually paint a few paintings and then you can choose the one that you like the best. The other painting(s) will go to a Gallery. Hope this helps give you an idea of the process.. All my best Shannon
Thank you for writing. I think you are best to check with Mountain Galleries to find out. Thank you for your bid! I sure appreciate your interest in my artwork and bravo to you and to everyone for attending and supporting the fundraiser! My best to you! Shannon
Hello
I saw one of your paintings in the lobby of the Fairmont at Whistler that I really liked. It was of a cub in a tree. Can you please provide some information about that painting to me?
Thanks, Robin
Thank you for writing and for being interested in this painting. The size is 48″ high X 24″ across, and it is on a deep canvas so you don’t need to frame unless you wish to. It is a portrait of a black bear cub that I watched grow up here on our ranch in the Okanagan. We have a lot of wildlife here, and I feel lucky to see the cubs now and then. We actually watched this cub come out of a den with his Mom when he was a yearling! This painting is very special to me, as I painted it live right in the lobby of the Fairmont, and even invited some adventureous Art Lovers to make their creative marks on the painting. It really added to the fun feel of this painting.
I invite you to contact Liz, Sharon and Ben at Mountain Galleries (604) 935 1862 whistler@mountaingalleries.com They will be happy to hear from you, and can provide further details you might wish to have. And, please let me know if you collect this painting!

Hi Shannon, I saw your painting in the lobby of the fairmont as part of the silent auction for the Alberta kids hospital over Christmas
I placed a bid and wondered whether the auction was closed.
Large bear head, large canvas with gold tone.
Thx very much
