The painting “Rota in Tourquoise II” is of “Tabatinga Rota”, who is the mother of our two Mangalarga Marchador mares. Marchadors are exquisitely beautiful animals, but Rota has an essence about her that is truly captivating. She is very gentle with such expressive eyes and I feel so blessed every time I paint her and have the opportunity to capture that beautiful essence in a painting.
